Emotional intelligence makes you improve your logical intelligence

The ability to regulate emotions super charges your ability to learn

Most of restrictions in learning come from friction

The brain listens to the commands of the heart

Which is why leveraging emotions are key
You're the smartest kid in the block...until you're scared.

Your emotions control a large part of your life

Until you can control them, others will 👇
Your subconscious mind dictates 95% of your reality.

And that is the mind that speaks in pictures and emotions

A completely different language than your conscious mind

Which is the critical thinking mind
Learning that the 2 minds speak different languages is not small detail

It's a massive one

When you realize this, emotional intelligence becomes a significant leverage in terms of your life
Emotional intelligence is broken down into 5 parts traditionally:

▪︎self awareness
▪︎motivation
▪︎emotional regulation
▪︎empathy
▪︎social skills
The most important is self awareness.

If you can focus a lot on that, then you're setting the right foundations

And from the foundations, you can build the other ones
'How come we aren't taught much about emotional intelligence?'

Because its something that's difficult to teach

It's more of an internal journey

Which requires you to get the tools out there & apply em for yourself

No one can feel your emotions for ya
An emotion = feeling + perception

The feeling are the physical sensations

The perception is your takeaway from the physical sensations
The emotional intelligence world isn't always logical

Which is why it requires you to wear a brand new hat

'Can you give me an example of it not being logical?'

Sure.
Think about anxiety & excitement.

If you get called to speak in front of 500 people...

You get rapid heartbeat.
Dry mouth
Sweaty palms
Butterfly in the stomach

You view that as anxiety. You feel drained
When you're on the peak of a roller coaster that is about to take you in a bunch of twists N turns...

You notice something:

You get a rapid heartbeat
Dry mouth
Sweaty palms
Butterflies in the stomach

However with this, you feel excitement. You feel empowered
Same physical sensations...

2 completely different perceptions

Thats just one case of emotional intelligence not being predictable

It's more non linear
'What's the best way to learn emotional intelligence?'

By being more observant of your own emotions

Watch out for fluxes in energy

Like when someone cuts you off in traffic
You feel surprised at first.

Then you feel angry

That anger turns into rage

And now you go off tailgating this person & miss your exit in the highway

Logical? Nah.

But reality? Ya.
The toughest thing about learning emotional intelligence is learning to detach from your emotions

Its tough because you've been conditioned so long to automatically react to them

Maturity is a lifelong game of detaching from emotions & observing it from afar
So in the incident when you get cut off in the highway...

Rather than automatically going to tailgate the person

Let it slide & feel the experiences in the internal world

Without judgment

If you judge yourself for feeling a certain way, then you come out even angrier
But remember earlier I said how rules in the emotional intelligence world is different than the logical world?

'Ya.'

Well that's why you need to put logic on the back burner as you learn your internal world
Your first inclination may be:

-why do I feel this way?
-what next?
-should I get angry?

Blah blah blah

You're getting your intellect too involved

Your intellect likes to dissect, it doesn't like to just sit there & feel
Hold off the intellect for later (if its even needed).

For now, just sit there & feel the different energy

The more you do this, the more you take control over your emotions rather than being controlled by them
But the other beauty is that you build emotional literacy.

'What's that?'

Able to identify emotions on a deeper context.

The average bubba only knows worlds like 'happy', 'angry', 'sad' etc
That's not bad, but its VERY surface level understand.

Once you do the shut up & feel technique that I mentioned, you get a stunning revelation not taught in formal education

'Which is?'

You can feel:

Happy & sad
Excited & anxious
Anxious & confident with a side of doubt
You go past linear thinking of the logical world, and become a multidimensional feeler

Your body influences the mind & mind influences the body

But being a multidimensional feeler makes you an enhanced thinker

You're bringing the conscious & subconscious mind...
This is the trick that a lot of artists, creative geniuses & renaissance men are aware of

Their body can make them an enhanced thinker

It's like unlocking a new paradigm
Now with that being said, also gotta watch out for people who are aware of this power that use it for unethical reasons

A lot of mainstream media, grimy politicians & unethical marketers can use these tactics for evil

But any art has extremes
If you can't control your emotions, someone will do it for you

Sort of like if you have 10,000$ to spend & don't know how to spend it

That's when everyone becomes a money expert & tells you to invest in their business

You're not a bad person. Just unaware of a different life
The heart serves as an amplifier for the brain

Which is why brainwashers typically scare you first, then plant the belief

Win the heart over & sweet talking the brain is light work
But when you take control over your own emotional intelligence you don't let the strings be controlled by others

You're self awareness will do that

And that's when your heart is serving as an amplifier for your brain

The 2 parties create synergy.
Synergy = the sum of both parts produces a greater effect than the parts alone

That's when 1+1= 8

'That's not logical!'

Like I said, in the world of emotional intelligence, we play by different rules
When your heart is serving as an amplifier for the brain, you learn with EASE.

You sort of just suck up information & apply when the friction melts away.

You don't TRY to focus

You are focus
That's when tests like the IQ exam become a joke

It says your intellect is fixed. Maybe in school

But in the real world, you stop learning when you decide too

Intellect is far from fixed
Anything can be learned when you have the desire & put in the work.

But for that, you need your emotions working with you..

Not against you

Make the conscious & subconscious mind best friends
Open your eyes

And enter a new world...
