What fresh hell is this?
1/ What do you mean "contact with contaminated patients without PPE? As in "Yeah well that can happen"?
2/ Call back science so it explains to you the virus doesn't care if it has a long time to infect someone or not
But sure sent exposed HCW back to work
What "science" does National Guidance drafters follow?
@carolecadwalla I found a recommendation for a 14 days isolation period after possible exposure for care home residents.
As in, "younger normally healthier" people are supposed to fall ill much faster -is that what they say?
Or are they acknowledging patients may still be contagious after 7 days when not tested and asymptomatic, and therefore it's not a good idea to take the risk?
But it's fine with "younger normally healthier" individuals?
Just occured to me -the National Guidance has still not be updated to say all patients discharged from hospital must be tested/to the least isolated until they're tested.
Seriously what science is this?
How do you know you're not contagious anymore if still coughing 7 days after a positive test?
Also discharging "recovering respiratory function/fever"?
"What to do if their symptoms worsen"?
What about "stay in hospital"?
gov.uk/government/pub…
I honestly don't get this.
Are they saying somehow it can be deemed acceptable to discharge "severely immunosuppressed patients" without "virological evidence of clearance prior to discharge"?
Why would a patient still at risk -and at risk of spreading- be discharged before that?
