Hutatma #TatyaTope who was one of the Driving Force behind First War of Independence of 1857 was hanged on today's day in the year 1859 by British Government in Shivpuri of Madhya Pradesh. His statue is installed at that place. There are many statues of Tatya Tope in MP.

In Bhopal, there is an area named #TatyaTope nagar (T.T. Nagar). There also a stadium in his name.

Nanasaheb Peshwa &Rani Lakshmibai. In 1857, TatyaTope brought Army from Gwalior. Nabasaheb appointed him as Senapati of that army. #TatyaTope fought with British forces at Kanpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Jagdishpur. He was the driving force behind public's revolt at above places.

He singlehandedly fought with British at the time when Nanasahbe was underground and Rani Lakshmibai was defeated at Gwalior. British were fed up of him. His stories spread all over the world. Many European historians had praised his fight at that time.

Italian Revolutionary Joseph Mazzini and Garibaldi was also impressed by him and took inspiration from him in their fight to free Italy from Austrian Rule. #TatyaTope lost many battles in the end. But he decided not to give up. He went to his friend Mansingh to hide.

But some british spy with Mansingh informed British and they arrested #TatyaTope . There was not even an ounce of Fear, Regret, Sadness on his face. He only had satisfaction for serving his Motherland.
He was hanged in a place called Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh.
