In a couple of tweets an insight into the complexities of relaxing lockdown, in terms of schools returning or keeping over-70s isolated. If that's understood by the government they should be discussing this. 
Conservative politicians including at the top of this government like to think they are the heirs to Churchill, standing up for the country etc etc. They appear not to have noticed how his stirring phrases were backed up by serious detail. See e.g...winstonchurchill.org/resources/spee…
I don't think that in their hearts the Cabinet and Number 10 advisors think tackling coronavirus will be their defining moment. They hope it will go away soon so they can do other things to be remembered by. That's provides a useful explanation to many of their actions.
