Gentle reminder: A CERTIFICATE of completion of a training/course is different from a CERTIFICATION

Certifications: awarded by chartered professional institutes
Certificates: regular courses offline or online.

Seen it misused on CVs, Twitter & LinkedIn, please don’t mix it up.
Ok let me give examples:

An accounting certification can be awarded by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA), etc

While accounting certificates can be gotten at training academies, online, etc. eg, coursera
Eg Project Management. You can have a CERTIFICATE in Project Management, by taking courses at any center or online, but not be CERTIFIED, ie not have the CERTIFICATION. That one is issued by Project Management Institute (PMI) or Prince 2.

It’s best to separate them on your CVs

Here, the @WHO DG admits total lockdown is impractical for poor countries & every govt must assess their COVID situation to develop unique solution. Eg Sweden didn’t do a total lockdown yet has low penetration. But Ajani from Akute has been insulting me for saying this for days.
While lockdown is effective at curbing the spread, the results in Nigeria are clear - more deaths have been recorded from lockdown related issues than COVID. But more importantly, lockdown can’t be effective when you aren’t testing massively. People spreading w/o knowing.
Eg Igando general hospital, Ilorin, etc. Besides, it is counterproductive to lockdown & be lax on security, so people can’t go to work, but gather en masse to protect themselves. When Mass gatherings & hospitals have been seen to be the biggest cause of spread. It’s just crazy.

I’ve read all sorts of reactions about this mail from Pepsi CEO to his Sales/Marketing team. Some laughable, some sheer ignorance. I hear some got paid to push. Well, you can’t pay me for my thoughts on strategy. I’ll do a thread on it by 10am tomorrow if I get just 50 retweets.
So let's discuss this laughable conversation about Pepsi and Bigi. A simple clear case of competitive strategy at play. I was shocked to see several reactions alleging racism, monopoly, and all sorts of names in reaction to the email sent by the MD of Pepsi to his team.
First, it's important that we understand the ownership structure of Pepsi & CocaCola in Nigeria. Despite being international brands, they are bottled by indigenous companies, who are franchise owners of the brands - Seven-Up bottling Company(SBC) &Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC).

So I attended my first Parents' meeting at my son's school. Only 4% of attendees were Fathers. Even the content was skewed towards Mothers, an acceptance that parenting is mainly for mothers. Unacceptable. Fathers must actively seek to increase their participation in parenting.
Maybe I am excited because I am being a Father for the first time, or maybe there is more that older fathers know that can make this make sense to me, that I don't know. But absentee Fatherhood has been said to be a cause of several developmental problems in children.
E.g research by The Fatherhood Project found that kids who feel closeness to their Dad are 2x likely to enter college/find stable jobs after high school than those who don't, 75% less likely to have a teen birth, 80% less likely to go to jail & 50% likely to experience depression
