.... I'm not interested in the past, unless we're talking past maps and patterns I can learn from. I don't care who did what. We had some good people that had a positive impact but messed up in some areas, were overthrown in part by the system but also changed it for the better.
That battle still continues, it will continue forever and was going on long before GDS / Spend control appeared. It's a constant thing which occasionally the spotlight shines upon.
Hmmm ... actually, there is another thing that I care about. It really irks me that @liammax never received an honour for what he managed to achieve. Without him, the changes would never have happened. As a country, we owe him a great deal of thanks.
I do understand he was not popular with some but this just highlights how pathetic, childlike and grubby such patronage systems can be. We still owe him thanks as a nation.
