the Super Real Mahjong collection's out in Japan today—it includes PIV/V/VI, which were already released individually on the eShop, plus a port of Graffiti for Saturn which contained versions of PII/III/IV city-connection.co.jp/srml27/🇯🇵 it's retail-only & will prob shoot up in price
City Connection's publishing this; they also own two of the other popular strip mahjong series from back in the day, Idol Janshi Suchie-Pai and Taisen Hot Gimmick, and they've talked quite openly about wanting to resurrect the subgenre and make some sort of crossover game
CC's president talked at length about how the obvious "take charas from all 3 franchises, put em in one game with one artist" approach wouldn't be satisfactory for reasons xyz... as someone who follows these games out of simple idle curiosity, I wonder, are they really that deep?
