It is also notorious for creating a "false flag" operation using fake social media accounts in the 2017 special election in Alabama.
So the famously bipartisan Senate Intel Committee was relying on research from a cyber firm that was working closely with Dan Jones, Fusion GPS, and Steele.

They themselves may have fallen for disinformation.
