Councillor @AngieHallman's Facebook Live Haysville meeting is about to begin. Follow along here if you can't watch live.
Coun Hallman begins by expressing her condolences to the family of the Morningside resident who recently passed away from issues related to COVID-19. She also thanks local front line workers, and the online communities that are supporting local residents and businesses.
Coun Hallman praises the community for their donations to the @WilmotFamilyRC food bank.

Coun Hallman reads an amended land acknowledgement.

She talks about township staff looking into quotes for sidewalks in Haysville, and she would like to continue that conversation with residents. She also discusses road maintenance and speeding issues.
Questions are coming in from viewers on Facebook facebook.com/watch/live/?v=…

She discusses playgrounds and the installation of a basketball net.
Coun Hallman says that the crime prevention committee hasn't held its first meeting yet.

If anyone wants to ask questions without using FB, they can email her now and not have their name onscreen: angie.hallman@wilmot.ca.
Re: the gravel pit application for Witmer Rd. She asks people to contact her to express their concerns, and they can include other members of council, too, so they're aware of residents' concerns.
A question via FB asks for clarification about closure of township facilities. Coun Hallman says that every department is still working from home. There are contacts for every dept on the township's website wilmot.ca/en/living-here…
Someone asks about the schedule for work on the Bridge St bridge.
Question about whether Coun Hallman will be taking part in an online town hall with Mike Harris Jr MPP. She says she doesn't know if he has any planned, but Tim Louis MP has been holding them with regional mayors. She doesn't know if any are scheduled with Mayor Armstrong.
She gives a shout out to volunteers as this is National Volunteer Week. She notes that visitors to Wilmot who comment that there are so many events in the township, which couldn't happen without volunteers. She appreciates that this year is difficult, as she's a volunteer herself
Someone asks the Splashpad Lady (Coun Hallman) when the splashpad at the WRC will be open. No news yet. She reminds retired parks and rec director Scott Nancekivell that he agreed to go under the "big bucket" with her!
Potholes! These can be reported by residents on the township's website: forms.wilmot.ca/Public-Works/P….
MP Tim Louis is on Facebook! He comments that he holds a live online town hall every Monday evening. He is working on one with Mayor Armstrong.

Question about garbage dumping on roads. Who to report to depends on if it is a regional or township road.
Someone asks when the next council meeting will be held. No news yet, but Coun Hallman will post on her social media when she hears of anything.
Another comment on FB, as a resident reminds people that people are being asked to wear red on Friday to show solidarity with people in Nova Scotia.
Someone asks why Wilmot isn't holding council meetings when other municipalities are. Coun Hallman assures the resident that staff are still working, and as soon as there is a council meeting - online or in chambers - she will let people know.
The next town hall hosted by Coun Hallman will be about New Dundee topics.

No more questions, so she bids everyone "buonanotte".
