Q1: @FBI asked "Where can victims go for help during the pandemic?
A1: If you're a victim of #HumanTrafficking help is available. NYC Survivor Resources maintains a list of resources in all 5 boroughs, including legal services and hospitals with S.A.F.E. programs. (1/2)nycsurvivorresources.org
A1: The list was recently updated to reflect the changes in services for a variety of organizations whose work was recently taken from in-person to online/telephones. (2/2)

Q2: @Dennyontheblock asks 'What are the current challenges that you are facing during this pandemic in regards to health and safety of the victims and the people trying to help them?'
A2: Our law enforcement and NGO partners have adapted their practices to protect the safety of both victims and the professionals dedicated to providing the help they need. It’s no different for us. We will not waver in our dedication to the mission.

Q3: @thatmags asks ‘Would you speak to a situation like how the stay at home order shifts the landscape for trafficking victims, getting them to help and safety, etc.?'
A3: In spite of the pandemic and the stay at home order, human trafficking activity has continued unabated. In some cases, traffickers have addressed the pandemic in advertising by claiming their victims are healthy and take precautions.
Q4: @Dennyontheblock asks ‘Are victims consulted for impact statements when a pedophile is being considered for early release?’
A4: Victim voices matter throughout the judicial process. We maintain contact with victims throughout an investigation, and, in many cases well beyond, to insure their rights are protected and their concerns are heard. Victims may communicate with officials in a variety of ways.
Q5: @kellytconner asks ‘How can you tell if someone you know is a victim of human trafficking? What can you do to help?’
A5: (1/2) The National Human Trafficking Hotline has an extensive resource detailing the signs that may indicate someone has been the victim of #HumanTrafficking.

A5: (2/2) To report a suspected situation of human trafficking or if you're a victim seeking help, you can call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888, text them at 233-733 or chat with them online at humantraffickinghotline.org
Q6: @SydneyErhardt asks ‘What can people do to stop human trafficking in their own cities?’
A6: An important thing for people to do in their own cities is to be aware of the signs of human trafficking and be familiar with where to provide information. In many cases, a simple phone call to one of the resources we've discussed today may be enough to save a victim.
