1. A brief summary of what happened in Brazil the past few days. Sergio Moro, an instrumental figure to illegally impeach labor party Pres. Rousseff and energize the right wing base in Brasil, resigned as Bolsonaro's Minister of Justice.

2. Moro single-handedly created the power imbalance, with a super-politicized Judicial system, that brought about the movement that ended with the election of far right Bolsonaro, the end of rule of law and a solid fascist movement in Brazil.

3. A few weeks ago, Bolsonaro's demise as head of the criminal coalition that heads Brazil was celebrated prematurely. Their group is actively mobilizing to destroy all democratic institutions.

4. However, the far-right Brazilian armed forces are increasingly uncomfortable with this arrangement. Their style of fascism requires control over the masses and much less mobilization.

5. Bolsonaro tried to regain the Army's favor, with no success.

6. This is what is happening right now: the Army supports Moro, who is more articulate and plays better into their agenda. Moro is spilling good dirt on Bolsonaro (not a fraction of what the criminal actually did), which will probably lead to his resignation.
7. Whether his resignation will be somewhat peaceful or not at all, we don't know. Any guess is premature. His base has, for the first time in Brazilian history, found grounds for a fascist identity.
8. For a long time, we used "fascism" between quotation marks or just for those knowledgeable enough. There is no doubt in Brazil anymore (or in the USA): it is textbook fascism.
9. Fascist mobs usually don't accept negotiated peaceful resolutions to conflict. Bolsonaro's base is completely out of control. It is possible that he will also lose the support of one important faction of Brazilian International Organized Crime.
10. He is a militia-man, Brazilian militias being illegal criminal organizations that bridge the connection between the irreversibly corrupt police and the powerful International Organized Crime.
11. There are too many variables right now in Brazil. We'll see what happens.

(1) Interesting ethical COVID-related dillema:
1. After a few days sick I got tested on April the 7th. The symptoms were dry cough, fever, shortness of breath (severe). Through auscultation, it was not pneumonia "yet".
(2) It took 5 days to get the test back and I got worse: clearly pneumonia by the sound of it.. Much worse. The test came back negative. Talking to the physician, we decided for a course of levofloxacin:
(3) this is the third pneumonia episode I have in the past 8 months in the time I developed adult-onset-asthma in Oklahoma, after the attack on June the 3rd 2017. So we'll rule out a bacterial pneumonia the way we can. They still thought it could be a false negative.

1. The times ahead will present hard choices for some countries. Possibly, the USA more than most. In other countries, lots of anti-democratic and economically suicidal things are done but they know it. In the USA, society hasn't come to terms with that yet.
2. For example the (re)construction of a true National Public Health System. "Medicare for all" is a start. But no health system can run on insurance money. It must be institutionally structured with public servants, careers and salaries.

3. Things will have to start from scratch not only in that area. No country can remain stable under extreme inequality and a complete corporate deregulated economy. The future scenario for market economy like that is not that great:
