I do think there is a rational liberal answer to how to reconcile trans peoples rights & the rights of everyone else

My bottom line. Women and girls should be able to wash, change etc... in peace & privacy without having to worry or guess

If this means people I've never met are going to call me names like deeply unpleasant, dogmatic and authoritarian have at it 🤷♀️
I would rather that than say young girls be expected to negotiate in real life with angry male adults who have been told that women's changing rooms and the people undressing in them should validate their gender identity by allowing their bodily privacy to be violated.
The pressure not to talk about this clearly, so that even the people who think they are staking out the rational middle ground shy away from using clear language about who is male and who is female.
