When you're used to things being done properly, one of the biggest frustrations you will face is working with people who have no problem with 'little' defects. They are legion. Worst is they don't even see what you consider as a defect. You end up looking like a difficult person.
Prof. Pius Adesanmi alluded to this in his 'Parable of the Shower head'. The repairman of a 5-star hotel did not understand what his fuss was about a shower head that was not shooting water through all the holes. He insisted the shower was working even if only a few holes worked.
Those 'little' defects add up. They may be trickles but they will soon form a dam if not corrected immediately. They are a window into your processes, your quality mindset, your mediocrity threshold. You are judged by your defects, not your stellar qualities.
No matter how talented you are, if you are comfortable with 'minor' defects, you may not be able to maximise your full potentials. I assure you that there are still people who have zero tolerance for the most negligible issues & you will have to work with them at some point.
As these things often happen, the person to check your work will first look out for defects. What you allowed to slip through the cracks tell your story. Be your own Quality Manager. Be hard on yourself. Insist on the best & it will soon become a lifestyle.
Entrepreneurs should compulsorily have on staff, a Quality Manager. Someone whose job it is to look at the output before it gets to the client. Someone who identifies defects & insists on correction. Someone with authority whose voice will be obeyed.
May we have the spirit of excellence to produce quality outputs.

May we have the humility to accept when defects are pointed out to us.

May we all be better.
