In the week ending 17th April there were more than three times the average number of deaths in care homes. ⬆️ 7k v ⬇️ 2k.
10k EXCESS deaths in care homes since mid March. BUT only 3k have COVID in the death certificates.
6k no explanation and that is NOT OK at all.

Whereas, in the face of death certificates COVID only accounts for a third of care home excess deaths (something about which those who work in care homes have expressed scorn), it accounts for 3/4 of excess deaths overall.

Whilst other EUropean countries are seeing their trajectory fall, not so in England (although Scotland, Wales and NI are).
Also interesting is that when deaths have been adjust for population changes over time NO single week has risen above the rates of Hing Kong Flu in 1968.
