And meanwhile China makes a show of shipping PPE all over the world. A humanitarian and reputational debacle for the USG and a tragedy for the countries we’re depriving of the PPE they need.
USG could have avoided this by acting quickly to limit its own outbreak and using DPA to ramp up mass PPE production. It did neither. So the US flails and the developing world suffers for it.
