Our bill authorizes the federal govt to manufacture, or contract to manufacture, key equipment & supplies for federal, state, local, & tribal health programs at no cost to them. And it will start manufacturing facilities to make COVID-19 vaccines at scale when they are available.
The federal government must use its full manufacturing, contracting, & coordinating capacity to fight COVID-19 head-on. That’s what my public manufacturing bill with @JanSchakowsky will do. Congress should act by including this bill in the next relief package.
