Only 3 #692-694, all scrapped. Built to test superheaters. Converted to CC19 class 1930 19" cylinders.

In March 1915, 693 was named Sir William MacGregor and 694 Lady MacGregor after the Governor of Queensland and his wife.

All were very proud of the C18s and so they should be.
C18 692 and A10 3 captured side by side in Ipswich railway workshops 1914. Both locomotives travelled together to Brisbane as part of a special train working.

More C18s were planned but in the end it was decided to build with larger cylinders - the C19s.
