I was really resisting talking about Tara Reade's claims because I know how volatile this subject is. But since the entire world has decided to lose its goddamn mind ... Apparently I and every woman out there has to go and reopen old wounds. So thanks a whole lot, Tara.

Here's my take on it in full for the most part medium.com/@ariadneschulz… but I will go through in this thread and give you my opinion which you probably neither want nor asked for. Why? Because I'm tired of hearing men do hot-takes on sexual assault.

The basic takeaways are I do not believe Reade was sexually assaulted by Biden, but I do believe she was assaulted, and I believe that she is now being used as a pawn in a continuation of a long-standing white supremacist tradition of using false allegations to sully an opponent.

And if you are one of the shitty Bernie Bros or Magahats who are promoting this thing and you mad I'm calling you a white supremacist: tough cookies. If you don't want me calling you a white supremacist then you need to stop being one. We clear? Good. Let's move on.

Reade's doing major damage to the MeToo movement and by lumping her in with the countless women who tried to get justice and were variously denied and sometimes met with violence and other severe repercussions is deeply insulting to all survivors of sexual assault.

I do think she needs help and I'm not going to completely toss her out because she's clearly been victimised, but my patience for her bs is rapidly running out and a friend pointed out to me that she's just another white woman pulling dumbass Karen bs. My friend's not wrong.

(And to those of you who now think you're going to embarrass me for using "Karen" as a pejorative: medium.com/@ariadneschulz… I am the "Simpsons did it" of social media posters.)

Now, Reade is lying. Again, I think she was sexually assaulted but not by Biden and not even in Washington DC. And it's not like she forgot. She knows she's making this stuff up.

I'm not sure just how much of this she came up with entirely on her own or how much Bernie Bros or whoever are coaching/supporting her in it, but she is lying and regardless of what they've promised her she's the only one who's going to face repercussions for this.

We are watching a woman burn herself alive for the promise of goodies if she lives through it. This is so deeply sick and awful.

If Biden wins in November she'll be forgotten, but she won't ever be able to get a good job or maintain any sort of decent life. She'll always be "the woman who lied to help Trump." Biden won't do anything to hurt her but her life will be effectively ruined by this.

And if Biden loses, God help her. She'll be the woman who destroyed America with a flagrant lie.

As it is she's setting women's rights back by at least fifty years. We were just at a point when our testimony was actually admitted in court and where violent men could be held accountable for their actions and then she's like, "hey, I'm going to profit off of this!"

Her own friends, including the singular one willing back up this claim are already turning on her. In a Medium response which is unsurprisingly already hidden she claims that the assault was perpetrated by Reade's boyfriend at the time. NOT Biden.

The same person also claims that Reade coached her on what to say, the dates don't line up (as in they're years off), and that Reade gave her a wholly different account of why she left her position on Biden's staff. (The same boyfriend who assaulted her asked her to.)

So, here's the deal. I wanted Hillary Clinton to be President. But we're not allowed female Presidents evidently. Then I wanted Harris to be President. But we're CERTAINLY not allowed black female Presidents. So Biden was way the hell down my list. But he's not Trump.

And no, I don't want Sanders any more than I want Trump because while we don't have anyone coming forward with a sexual assault claim against him himself, his staff is a hotbed for sexual assault and harassment, and he has demonstrated unbridled misogyny.

AT THE VERY LEAST Biden helped out with the Violence Against Women Act. So I'm annoyed that I have to defend him especially when I feel like he could ignore Sanders a little harder and he could have more vociferously supported HRC, but at least he's neither Trump nor Sanders.

Point is, I'm super insulted that y'all got so up in your damn white male privilege that we have Trump for President. Dude ACTUALLY DID RAPE multiple women and has no concept of why his actions are wrong. And you idiots let him happen because something something emails.

I mean, let's face it. The reason America does not have HRC for President right now is because our nation is misogynist and racist and we weren't ready for a decent woman to lead us.

Biden can't hold a candle to HRC. He's way the hell better than Trump, by leaps and bounds, but he couldn't be HRC if he put on a pants suit, dyed his hair blonde, and made controversial statements about cookies.

But boring as he is, he's not a misogynist like Bernie Sanders and he's not a rapist like Trump.

And yeah. I SAID WHAT I SAID.

Biden didn't rape anyone, Reade is lying, and this whole situation is deeply enraging and depressing. I am depraged. Or ragepressed.

But I have to say the most infuriating part of this, or at least the one that I'm cognitively dealing with is the same jackasses who told me that as a woman I don't deserve my vote or called me a "c*nt" or a "vagina voter," are the same shits clutching their pearls and ....

yelling "believe women." Really? REALLY? Y'all couldn't believe women back when Trump raped a bunch of them. You wouldn't believe women when Sanders made us out to be whiny bitches. You wouldn't believe women when we said we preferred HRC or Harris or anyone else.

Oh, but now, now that it's to your political advantage, now you racist sexist dilltweeds want to say "believe women." No. No, you believe us on our terms.

Oh and guys, this isn't even me mad. I'm piqued. I'm not mad yet. Do not make me mad.
