1/ When an Jude says that apostates reject authority ἀθετέω κυριότης (atheteo kuriotes) he shows their utter disdain for the authority of Scripture.

"atheteo" combines "a" meaning "without" and "theteo" derives from "thithemi" which means "to put/to place" which...

2/...denotes setting something in place, like a standard or law.

Kuriotis means "dominion" which is where 'Kurios" is derived which means "Lord" when referring to Christ. Together Atheteo kuriotes denotes a rejection of those laws/standards that God has placed over us.

3/ Look no further than Scripture as the authority over believers. To go outside of any of the boundaries and precepts that God's word has set is to "reject authority".

Rejecting authority comes naturally to an apostate because it is in fact God's law that entices them to rebel.

4/ The egalitarian rejects God's prescription for leading and teaching in the church by forbidding that a women the ability to be shepherd's or teach men withing the church. This is a rejection of God's authority, and as such now makes the egalitarian the authority over God.

5/ When an apostate rejects God's authority they supplant God. That is dangerous.

In regards to sexual ethics, when a Christian accepts or claims to be homosexual they are rejecting God's authority whether Genesis 2:24 or Romans 1:18-32

6/ Scripture doesn't limit sexual sin to homosexuality. It denounces every form of immorality that goes out side of God's standard as prescribed in Genesis 2:24, 1 Corinthians 6:15-20.

The Greek word pornos is used generally for any form of sexual immorality.

7/ This would include heterosexual sex outside of marriage, viewing pornography, rape, incest, pedophilia, polamory, polygamy, voyeurism, sex abuse, etc... All of these violate God's precepts for sexual ethics.

If any "Christian" violates any of these whether...

8/...in general support of these sins or in the committing of these sins then they are rejecting God's authority and proving themselves to be liars.

The demons rejected God's boundaries on marriage, yet married women and created a super race. Sodom rejected God's boundaries...

9/...and committed every immoral sexual act under the sun. They rejected God's authority and made themselves the authority. Whenever you reject a truth in Scripture you reject God and make yourself the new authority.

Sodom and these demons reaped God's judgement...

10...as will all any of those who chase after these sins or applaud these sins, including those who claim to be "Christians".

There is one authority, and that is God. He will suffer no rivals.
