The Department of Justice announced it will aid a Virginia church suing Gov. Ralph Northam after a pastor was threatened with jail time or a $2,500 fine for hosting a 16-person church service on Palm Sunday.
According to Northam’s shelter-in-place restrictions, churches cannot hold services with more than 10 people.

The DOJ filed a Statement of Interest in a VA federal court citing freedom of religion in support of Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Chincoteague Island, VA.
According to the DOJ’s statement, the congregation serves, among others, recovering drug addicts and former prostitutes.

Tolchin was particularly concerned about the investigation because of the possibility that it would reveal information that would hurt Biden in the upcoming 2020 election. Tolchin appeared determined to beat Trump at all costs.

Johns Hopkins University on Tuesday said analysis included in leaked government documents that showed the U.S. could see up to 3,000 deaths per day from coronavirus was not meant to be used for official forecasts.

A University of Pittsburgh researcher “on the verge” of a breakthrough in understanding the coronavirus was found shot dead in his home, according to a report.
Bing Liu, 37, was allegedly killed inside his Pittsburgh-area townhouse Saturday by a man who then went outside to his car and shot himself, WTAE, a local ABC affiliate, reported.
