As @paulgp & I incorporate more-recent data and better (?) modeling, even 3.4 million may be conservative.

Could be closer to 4m than 3m.

Hope to post update before official release at 7:30am CT tomorrow.

Great note from Jesse Rothstein via @hshierholz. We've been modeling to match state's reports, which are not seasonally-adjusted (NSA). The seasonal adjustment will add 13.25% to the national NSA number today.

@GOPChairwoman @realDonaldTrump The labor market has strengths. Check out the trend in the number of U.S. jobs since 2000. The inherited job-creation trend that started in 2010 continues.
@GOPChairwoman @realDonaldTrump POTUS changed his talking point (green). The job growth trend (blue), not so much.
@GOPChairwoman @realDonaldTrump Job growth has slowed a bit.

The economy added 7.3 million jobs over the 39 months from the Nov 2016 election to Feb 2020, about equal to what we added over the same months to Feb 2019.

It's fewer new jobs than we added over those months to Feb of 2018, 2017, 2016, or 2015.
