Progressives outnumber conservatives in every part of the nation.

Conservatives have always been the minority. That’s why they cheat, manipulate & steal elections and campaign endlessly to smear and assassinate their opposition’s leaders and policy.

They’d never win otherwise.

It’s also the reason they seek to keep progressives divided and warring with one another. As a unified voting block, conservatives would lose every election.

EVERY ELECTION!

Because they are a true minority.

Creating factions within progressive parties was the best hope conservatives had in decades.

Having Socialists (NDP) & GREENS attack liberals, rather than conservatives has been contributing to the death of democracy globally.

Democracy is collaboration & compromise. Not the populist BS being offered.

Since NDP has forgotten that and Greens have yet to figure it out, conservatives use the competitiveness between progressive parties to their advantage.

Federal NDP have forgotten they WERE made up of some former liberals who were the conscience of the liberal party. Some of the original members were Progressive Party of Canada members. Not just Marxist socialists, as revisionist historians would have you believe.

Alberta has always been a left leaning liberalist province, not socialist. Centrists surrounded by multiple schools of thought created a successful third party model. In response to eastern abandonment during the Great Depression.

Their role was to keep social policy in consideration and to remind all voters of the consequences of focussing purely on economic and financial issues. They inspired Canada to become one of the best social democracies globally.

They also brought citizens who were marginalized to the political arena to relate how policy impacted them and brought new and creative policy suggestions to be considered. And they were, often. By both LPC and Progressive Conservatives.

Now the federal NDP have delusions of leading the nation to adopt a purer form of socialism. No longer willing to be the conscience, they want to acquire power, to exclude capitalism and to remove individualism altogether.

Is this not the same goal of Conservatives in reverse of NDP, but instead of socialism, they want ordered liberty and neo-fascist structure & control. Eliminating publicly funded social supports and promoting unregulated vulture capitalism?

If we returned to our roots, we could once again have one of the strongest and socially progressive democracies.

But fed NDP, since Jack, believe their 15-20% minority group can lead the nation to socialist reform.

Thus, the fed NDP focus to smear Liberals, rather than collaborate. Obstruct and reject Liberal/Centrist moderation rather than compromise on radical goals.

And fed conservatives believe their 20-25% minority group deserve control of the economy and to implement archaic socially conservative policy. And they have a lot of provincial Conservative party support.

It’s that divisive refocus from NDP third party to winning party that altered the political landscape in Canada, and allowed consolidated conservatives, who had found their own marginalized voters, to sweep up the middle and win three federal elections with a minority.

That refocus came after defeating minority government of Martin Liberals in 2005. Shortly after Harper consolidated the right under Conservatives in 2003. And after constant populist campaigning from both extreme ends of the political spectrum.

Remove the extreme radicals leading the left and right political options in Canada, and its a completely different political milieu.

Amazing what history teaches us.

Canada is a centrist nation. It isn’t far left or far right. Those elements exist in every society. Those nations that quelled the radical elements and focussed on cooperation & compromise had peace for 50 years.

It’s the radical left & right that need to stop creating havoc.
