1. @DMwonzora has made one of the biggest blunders of his political life. While it is understandable for him & Ms Khupe to be bitter given how power was whisked away from them, there is no way a sane & progressive politician wld find comfort in the bidding of the state machinery
2. That alone will make their outfit a dead horse. He might try to outsource leadership the way Welshman did to Mutambara but the writing is so bold! On the other hand, MDC as we knew it is dead. I am not sure which animals are going to come out of all this mess.
3. Some are saying the MDC MPs must resign but history is so pregnant with lessons. The 2005 split was precisely because of the senate issue. While to everybody else it was clear that the senate was unnecessary, behind the doors most wanted it for their own benefit. Let's watch!
4. On the other hand @nelsonchamisa is hamstrung. There is limited activity within and outside Zimbabwe. It seems, MDC's preferred mode of action is going to the same courts they accuse of being captured. There is no diplomatic nor local agitation.
5. What is going to follow is a scotched-earth blitz by ED. Chamisa will be discredited, he will be muted & resources will deplete. On the other hand Mwonzora's outfit will enjoy unfettered access and privileges. They will become a present-day dzakutsakus.
6. The biggest question is what shld Chamisa do?
- Changing the name is a clear sign of capitulation. That shld not even be contemplated.
- The second thing is disengagement. MDC shld no longer participate in parliament & elections.
- Organize & solidify internally & externally
7. Know your strengths. The 4 pillars of power - Finance, Information, Security & Production must be chipped. First, the movement must recruit within and outside. Use technology to organize, empower & teach. It must also use money & technology to fight back. Use unorthodox ways
8. I wish I could write more about these unorthodox means but.. At the end of the day leadership shld be prepared to take off their suits and get dirty. We were in the same state in 2006 with less hope & incessant attacks but MDC is not a party but a natural state of resistance
9. Chamisa shld come out and say
- The name will not change
- MDC is disengaging from parly & elections
- MDC is organizing domestically & internationally
- The solution is not in elections but political force
