Cuomo said that Covid may have arrived here Nov-Dec; not Feb-March. Wow. Basically in all of March we were in day 60-90 when we behaved as if/thought we are in day 0-30. Ok, where were all the deaths in the real day 20-40 (Dec-Jan)? Anyone have a good theory here?
We tought that March into April is day 0-30 of Covid in NY with Hosptial spikes in late March, followed by heavy deaths into early/mid April. But all this (March into April) was possibly day 60-90 of Covid. Ok, where were the deaths 60-80 days earlier?

I think a large mumber of deaths came from change of protocol as to who/when to go to the doctor to get care (people were told to stay home which then spiraled into a hospital need because their strep/pneumonia went uncared), and then people did not get normal care at hospitals.
Lack of a companions, a mess. Expecting 30K-40K ICUs in a matter of weeks, a mess. Nurses needing to change between patients because everyone will get Covid and also die, a mess. Panicked masses rushing to the hospital since everyone will get Covid and die, another mess.
The 85 year old Mom of an acquaintance of mine was in hospital early April. He got an end of life call so he went in. His Mom’s food was untouched because she is too old too eat alone but no nurse fed her either. Son got to work. Mom was released 3 days later. Still alive!
The CDC rule change of early April to count deaths WITH Corona the same as deaths OF Corona is strange for one thing: Why not tell doctors to write the real/likely cause and to add a note that the patient ALSO had Corona? This would help to analyze the deaths better. No?
