#Vishakapatnam: Styrene chemical leaked from LG Polymers factory on the outskirts. DGP Gautam Sawant tells @ThePrintIndia that 5 people have died of which two died after falling down trying to escape. More people rushed to hospitals. Says gas is not lethal but more of irritant
Disturbing visuals from the area. Video courtesy my friend @payalmehta100
The DGP is Goutam Sawang and not Sawant. My apologies for the mix up.
Plz note the people in the video have fallen unconscious. Several people rushed to hospital but mostly don’t need hospitalisation, sources said. They are being given first aid as irritation of eyes is the primary fallout. Hoping and praying that casualty figures don’t go up.
