/ All the MDC-T Councillors & MPs should all collect their benefits & resign en masse, it’s really non negotiable. Short of setting up a new party, or becoming Independent, they can’t continue. Some will return, others won’t
/ The political parties in this country have perception challenges. People have lost confidence in political parties. I see an influx of Independent legislators, especially in areas where the elected are popular & serve the people.
/ In the upcoming primary elections, there must be democracy

This is why I said that an election campaign begins the day one is elected into office & not a couple of weeks before the actual polls. MDC are likely to maintain their strongholds as will ZANU-PF.
/ The only safe person in Parly is myself, an Independent as I cannot be recalled by anybody, I can only recall myself. Once people understand what being Independent means, the number of Independent MPs is likely to increase. The way to go is Independence.
/ You can be Independent and support the good in either parties & denounce the bad whilst advocating for your policies. The heart of the matter is that you serve national interest. No one can ignore the founding principles of the struggle.
/ It’s important to realise the true extent & depth of people’s despondency. The by-elections will illustrate whether people are for @nelsonchamisa or not. Will the numbers emerging be more or less?
/ Zimbabweans by their nature are sympathetic & prone to protest votes to send a message. If you want to send a message, this then sets the tone for 2023
/ Chamisa must now prove his mettle as a true brand, the so called two million people that followed him must now come through. Unfortunately most Presidential voters, don’t belong to political parties, this fact usually emerges during an election.
/ No President wins on just its members only, it’s impossible, even the ANC or any other party if you look at it.

What is important here, is to realise that you can’t ignore that two million. Will he be able to add more, or will it be less?
/ The real issue here is @ZANUPF_Official can’t celebrate too soon. Political parties must stop seizing opportunities through other parties by negative means. ZANU-PF at times acts like an opposition party not the governing party.
/ They have enough issues they’re failing to deal with, the economy is in a mess. Now they must show themselves as the governing party. What can happen in the next 90 days is that they can constitutionally change the Constitution as they wish.
/ I don’t think they will though. If they were well organised, they could do a lot that would be difficult to amend in the future. However history will show that there are many constitutional amendments that have never seen the light of day due to the lack of organisation
/ so I repeat, it’s highly unlikely they’ll amend the Constitution & in any case a process. This should allay the fear that whilst the recalled MPs are away, amendments to the Constitution in ZANU-PF’s favour may be made.
/MDC are confused, this will be a test. If they really believe in their vision & leader Chamisa, resigning en masse isn’t an option. The trouble with Zim politics is the politicians are not wealthy. After vacating their office as a legislator they’ve no other means of income.
/ That’s why it’s dangerous to put people in power without resources as they’re easily compromised. It’s really about principles & morals, they become tested now.
/ Ultimately @nelsonchamisa will know who’s for him & who’s not, an important lesson to go through in life. When I was persecuted by the RGM/Chihuri regime, I knew who was for me & who wasn’t, I knew who was powerful & who wasn’t; but ultimately God was forever there.
/ MDC this is your time to shine, with the right focus you can do it!

Let’s do away with the theories & get to work. People said one couldn’t win in the rural areas, but MDC took some constituencies & wards. It’s a theory, let people go on the ground, nothing is impossible.
/ Politics is about being on the ground for people, not just appearing in Parly. Sitting in Parly is a fraction of what’s needed to be done as a politician, the rest is on the ground with the people.
/ That’s why I say ZANU-PF doesn’t rig elections, but there is a lot of election malpractices, this isn’t tantamount to rigging but a concern all the same. So let’s get on with it and see how MDC will come back after this.
/ I look forward to their comeback as we need a strong opposition in this country to keep the ruling party on their toes. MDC needs to put its house in order as there was a cocktail of bananas, apples, oranges etc they need to separate themselves&understand who they really are
