reminder: black people for years have been talking about these things. for decades they were brushed off and laughed at. its only since we've gotten video (rodney king) and esp mobile video, that suddenly people are like "oh, guess you weren't just paranoid/hysterical"
i have personally had extremely limited experience with this, and yet, ive had people minimize it when i talk about being followed in a store like i was a criminal.
