Here we go with Ward 1 Councillor Angie Hallman's New Dundee-themed online round table. She begins by talking about the land acknowledgment.

Question about rental charge decreases for local non-profits. Coun Hallman says she'll bring this up with council colleagues and staff. Mentions that the township will be facing financial challenges.
A resident comments that township council is not doing anything about the Witmer Rd gravel pit application. Coun Hallman says her job as an elected official is to listen to residents and also consider the applicant. This is an ongoing process, even if that isn't evident.
Question about the completion date for the Islamic centre in Mannheim. Projected for next year.
Coun Hallman answers a question about budgets and sidewalks. She replies that she will advocate for accessibility.

Moves on to talk about the ND community centre upgrades, as well as Bridge St repairs.
Resident asks if there is still room on the crime prevention committee, to which the answer is yes. Suggests contacting Wilmot's Legislative Services or Coun Hallman.
Question about fishing happening in Optimists Park. Coun Hallman recommends people contact her or another member of council if they need clarification.
Another comment from a resident that they feel they're being ignored re: Witmer Rd pit. Coun Hallman stresses that she takes comments, questions and concerns seriously, and that council is taking this seriously.
Coun Hallman says she's been speaking with WRPS Sgt Gibson about speeding issues.
Comments now about the changes to the Canada Day in Wilmot activities, which will now be held online.
Coun Hallman invites people to contact her at angie.hallman@wilmot.ca if they have any other questions or comments.

And with that, the round table is done.
