This folks is BIG. It seems to be part of the long term, full spectrum, all of government approach that is essential to break Pakistan. Some days ago I had said I would do a thread on this. Here goes :

3. We all know Pak policy of death by thousand cuts for India. This includes Kashmir, Punjab and now collaborating with Maoists, certain sections of Indian political parties, media channels, NGOs and aggressive 5th Gen War as per Pak Army Green Book. I wrote on this too.

4. India has been very weak in Information Warfare, 5th Gen Warfare and given our bureaucratic set up I don't see this changing

So our best option is to destroy the heart of the problem - Pakistan. How do we do that ?

5. Figure out the centre of gravity of Pakistan and topple it. That centre of gravity is the Pakistan Army and its carefully cultivated lie of a professional fighting force that is the sword of Islam.

This is where Kashmir, POK, Gilgit Baltistan come in

6. Strategic imperative of taking back POJK, Gilgit Baltistan is less about the strategic imperative of a land route to Afghanistan than showing the people of Pakistan that their army and its entire business empire of billions (20% of Pak economy) is built on a lie.

7. Taking POJK, GB will not be enough. War will naturally extend to full scale conflict. At that stage Sindh, Balochistan must be separated as well. This will require amphibious ops plus an armour offensive to cut off the North South arteries of Pak. More on that separately

8. However I want to focus on non kinetic prongs of the full spectrum strategy. One crucial aspect is water. Pakistan is heading to water scarcity within next 6-7 years. We absolutely have to capitalise on this. Another is exploiting fault lines of Pak, especially Pak army

9. Yes. There are serious fault lines within Pak Army. They are sectarian (Shia vs Sunni), regional (Punjabis vs all others) and most of all their business interests. Billions of dollars have been spirited away overseas by Pak Generals who have sold land to CPEC.

10. London, Geneva, NY, Dubai are full of ex Pak Generals and current Pak generals have bought property in all these places. This absolutely must be exploited. Times of IK Gujral and Morarji Desai who blew R&AW networks are gone. Rich pickings exist now

11. The Pakthun movement is also a big danger for Pak. This must blow up into a full fledged war and India absolutely has to enable this. The Baloch movement is another one. Till now we have not done much with either of these. This has to change. And fast

12. Lastly total economic blockade n full scale financial throttling has to be used against Pakistan. No company based in India must be allowed to do business in Pak. No foreign company doing business in India must be allowed to do business with Pak. Use every lever

13. We should ensure so many fires simultaneously that Pak army faces war on several fronts - India, Pakhtuns, Baloch, water crisis, financial death, business collapse and evaporation of Pak Generalship due to infighting

Pak must become a tinderbox and POJK the match
