These are the faces of men and women who symbolize evil. Bergen-Belsen personnel, where from 1941 to 1945, almost 70,000 inmates died.

Remember: Bad people are not physically different from good people. And that's the scariest thing about them.
In autumn of 1945, a British Military Tribunal in Lüneburg tried 48 members of the Bergen-Belsen staff, including 37 SS personnel and eleven prisoner functionaries. The tribunal sentenced eleven of the defendants to death.
The SS succeeded in destroying many of the camp's files, including those on personnel.

Não, Regina, é ignorando as atrocidades do passado que a gente não vai pra frente e corre o risco de terminar como você.
Bata na porta de um sobrevivente do Holocausto, de alguém que passou pelos gulags ou de alguém que foi torturado pela ditadura militar.

Do alto do seu trono de privilégios de alguém que nunca passou por metade isso é muito fácil exigir "que se olhe pra frente."
"Olhar pra frente" significa ignorar a escravidão, por exemplo. Ignorar o Holocausto, Holodomor, o Congo Belga, o “Grande Salto Adiante”.

É, sim, cobrando e encarando coisas que aconteceram há 60, 70, 80, 100, 300 anos que nós temos chance de chegar a algum lugar.
