What has the last few days in government been about? The best way to enforce / ease lockdown, or hoping to create a magical moment for the PM to address the nation?
Different times, but Parliament in 1939-1945 must have debated the conduct of the war more than this Parliament has debated coronavirus. And given we know MPs have different views it is about time they were aired where that's supposed to happen.
This is a national crisis not an election campaign. Two months in, probably many more to come, time to handle it differently.
