Simona's exchange with Schiff blows the entire Mifsud narrative out of the water.

Let's start with this little gem.

In response to Schiff asking when she found out about Mifsud, Simona says it was shortly before the plea and that George himself *didn't know what was going on*.
Why didn't Papa know what was going on? Because Papa himself to Simona that what Mifsud told Papa was just random, casual, not serious, not news.

In other words, Mueller "persuaded" Papa that the random gossip Papa had heard from Mifsud was actually a nefarious offer.

Wow.
Schiff seems taken aback by the revelation and asks how it could be just gossip. Simona finishes Schiff's sentence to say that the info was already in the public domain. Schiff then says it was not in the public domain. Incredulous Simona: "It was not?"
Simona then correctly points out that Schiff is talking about the DNC emails, whereas she/Papa/Mifsud was talking about Hillary's emails. Lying Schiff then says that *Hillary's* emails were also released in the summer of 2016. What??
Incredulous Simona gives Schiff a big Italian "Okay?"
Schiff, sensing that the big Italian "Okay?" means that Simona is going to blow his lies out of the water, the claims that there was "no public information that Hillary Clinton emails may be in possessions of the Russians". What??
cc lying @RepAdamSchiff
Schiff finally beats Simona into submission - but not after one final valiant attempt by Simona to try and explain to him that, at the time, everyone was talking about Hillary's emails having been hacked by the Kremlin.
Having finally gaslighted Simona into accepting his false narrative (or maybe she just wanted him to shut up and move on), Schiff is careful not to reopen the discussion by seemingly accepting that whatever Papa was told was "casual".
Having seemingly prevailed with his Hillary email lie, Schiff then proceeds to seed his next lie, which is that Mifsud said what he said because he had just come from Russia (he actually just came from Rome).

Simona makes sure to get back to: George told me "it was randomly".
Simona then starts taking the upper hand again. Not only did George not tell her about Mifsud coming back from Moscow (she probably knows he was caming from Rome), but what George did tell her was that it wasn't very important.
Schiff then wants to go back to talking about the emails and Simona wastes no time going back to her original point, which was that George was talking about Hillary's deleted emails and not the DNC emails (Schiff's eyes probably popping out by this stage).
Simona then drops a bomb, which we never got to hear from Schiff (who obviously wouldn't leak bad news) but neither did we hear it from Republicans, which is extremely disappointing. There was *no offer*. Mifsud never offered anything.
And here's the coup de grace: No one ever said that the Russians could help the Trump campaign by anonymously releasing emails.
Schiff tries one more time but fails. Simona insists that what Mifsud said was just gossip and that what George really wanted from Mifsud was to set up the Trump-Putin meeting.
Schiff knows he's lost and moves on to more general questions about Mifsud (which I'll cover in a future thread).

End result: Simona 1 - Schiff 0
