No one is being prosecuted for how the FISA program hogtied, ballgagged, and gave the Pulp Fiction basement treatment to civil liberties, and we don’t even now how many cases of outright abuse have gone unnoticed because they aren't high enough profile.
If our institutions of law enforcement and intelligence are utterly incapable of screening their personnel enough to keep the absolute worst actors from taking over said insitutions, then we need to strip them of power, not give said power a new coat of paint and a tune-up.
