On the 22nd of October 2015, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton testified infront of the Benghazi committee. Congressman Mike Pompeo was on on the committee.
In this video Mr. Pompeo asks Clinton if she recognised two men.
She replied “I do not”

So who are these two men?
1) Mohammed AlZahawi
- AlZahawi was the founder & commander of the AlQaeda affiliated group Ansar AlSharia, who ruled and controlled the city of Benghazi after 2011.

The man standing next to Mohammed AlZahawi is Libyan Rebel commander Wissam Bin Hmaid.
2) After the revolution, Wissam Bin Hmaid was appointed commander of the “Libya Shield 1” brigade.

On the 21st of September 2012 tens of thousands of Libyans hit the streets of Benghazi calling for an Army and Police force to replace the armed groups. This was know as the “Save Benghazi” Friday.

On the following day, and during a press conference held at Benina Airport, the Head of the General National Congress Mohammed AlMgaryif announced the formation of a new military committee that included all armed groups in Benghazi including Wissam Bin Hmaid’s “Libya Shield 1”.

On July the 8th 2013, 32 demonstrators were killed in front of Wissam Bin Hmaid’s Libya Shield 1 brigade HQ. Wissam was seen shooting at them. HRW report ⬇️

Just a month after the LNA’s “Operation Dignity” and on the 14th of June 2014, Benghazi Shura Revolutionary Council was founded.
BRSC main commanders were Mohammed AlZahawi, Wissam Bin Hmaid, Jalal AlMakhzoom, Zeyad Belaam and Faraj Shakko.

On the 13th of January 2014, the United States listed Ansar AlSharia (Benghazi) as a Foreign Terrorist Organistation.

The UNSC panel of experts report (23 February 2015) confirmed that Ansar AlSharia was the dominant force in the newly formed BRSC. Report ⬇️

On the 10th of April 2015, Libya’s Salvation Government announced that it fully supported the BRSC. (Arabic statement)

Libya’s Central Bank also financed the Benghazi Revolutionary Shura Council. The image below shows two cheques in the name of BRSC. One for an amount of 1 Million Dinars & the second for 4.99 Million Dinars (Arabic)

In a TV interview GNC President Nouri AbuSahmain also confirmed that he fully supported BRSC and sent shipments of ammunition and weapons to support them. He also mentioned that Libya’s UN backed Presidential Council Member Mohammad Ammari knew about this & supported it.

Reports confirmed that Wissam Bin Hmaid pledged allegiance to ISIS. In this video Wissam sends a message to his followers whilst standing in front of the ISIS flag. Wissam, Mohammed AlZahawi & Jalal AlMakhzoom died. Ziyad Balaam & Faraj Shakko fled the city.

On the 17th of October 2019, BRSC Commander Ziyad Belaam was pictured fighting amongst GNA forces on the outskirts of the Libyan capital Tripoli.

On the 18th of October 2019, Ziyad Belaam was pictured again in another Tripoli neighbourhood fighting for the GNA.

On the 18th of March 2020, Ziyad Belaam was injured in Tripoli and was flown out by the GNA to Turkey via Mitiga International Airport to receive treatment.

On the 13th April 2020, BRSC Commander Farj Shakko was seen amongst the GNA forces who attacked Sorman.

The thread above shows a clear link between the authorities in Libya’s capital Tripoli & extremists.
Whether that was the GNC a few years ago or the GNA & CBL today.

So how can a government (GNA) that publicly supports terrorists be internationally recognised?
