1. Immunity passport - ethical and social justice concerns

The article below that came in one of my newsletters is part of the new concern about the "immunity passport".

2. Unfortunately, it doesn't properly or clearly address the two chief ethical and social justice issues:
3. (a) Can anyone in a given country apply and obtain an immunity passport or is it restricted to those who have been either infected or non-symptomatic carriers?
4. The answer is easy: before an effective vaccine is available, for free, the immunity passport is an abominable public heath decision.
5. (b) Admitting that we have a vaccine (probably not before 18-36 months or even never) can any person in any area, regardless of their citizenship status, apply for the "immunity passport"?
If not, it should be violently repealed as just another anti-immigrant and anti-minority policy.

1. Hello, everyone. I'd like to share with you what seems to be an excessive and unwanted attention "twitter authors" are getting from "thread reader" apps. Most of us already use @threadreaderapp . I have an account with them as do many other authors.

2. "Twitter authors", it seems, are the folks who produce original, curated content. Thread reader applications, which unroll threads, make them easier to read, store, etc, are multiplying. This, for example, is my @threadreaderapp account:

3. These apps store the "author"s threads. You can follow any author through the app.

Some new app owners are aggressively approaching authors to push their apps. They are poaching other organizations' authors.

1. It wasn't my first or even second. However, being sick with COVID in the USA, the ONLY country among the developed and developing countries without a National Public Health Care System was a very new experience.

2. The first thing I did before anything was too much of an effort for my hypoxic brain was to figure out the abnormal and anomalous American HCS. I have a @BCBSAssociation insurance. They are blatantly committing fraud and charging co-pay for COVID testing and consult.
3. I had a supplemental private insurance in Brazil. As anywhere else except the USA, insurance covers 100% of the cost of anything. The idea of an 80K co-pay at 57 years old was simply illogical.

1. Hypothetically...

- you are right-wing, racist and you hate immigrants and brown people in general
- you want to open the economy and go back to work (or make others work)
- this can only happen if the pandemic reaches some level of control
2. Should you support health care to undocumented immigrants, given that not treating them will maintain contagion at unknown and possibly high levels?

For selfish reasons alone, even if you are a despicable fascist, you should.
3. Considering that immigrants are the cheapest demographic segment in American society, contributing a lot (underpaid, unqualified work, paying taxes and not eligible for benefits) and receiving very little, should you support pandemic financial support to them?
