1/ You can't separate God's love from His wrath. The two are intertwined. The most unloving thing a judge could do is to let a murderer go free. It would be unloving to the victim's family to let the murderer go free.

With this in mind, why is it unloving for God to send people-
2/...to Hell? People who have violated his precepts and transgressed against Him.

It would be unloving of God to let sinful man go free from their transgressions against Him. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". Romans 3:23
3/ This is why Christ sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. For anyone who believes in Christ and repents of their sins will be saved from God's wrath.

God poured out His wrath on Christ to be a substitute in the place of those who believe and repent of their sin.
4/ Quite simply, either Christ was punished for your sin or you will be punished for eternity in Hell.

Because God is loving He must punish those who have transgressed against Him, which includes those who have transgressed against His children.
5/ The most unloving thing He could do is to let people go who have gossiped and ruined people's names, or murdered, or raped, or lusted, or committed adultery, or were ethnocentricists, etc...

If these people repent of their wickedness and turn to Christ they will be saved.
6/ If these people continue in their selfish ways, then they will suffer eternal conscious torment for their sins.

The reason why these people will be let go if they turn to Christ and repent is because Christ bore God's wrath for them.
7/ God's love cannot be separated from His great wrath. He is a just Judge & will not let one sin go unpunished. Everyone does not go to heaven. Those that do go to heaven go because Christ was punished in their place. Only Christ was perfect & could bear God's wrath...
8/...because Christ was God in the flesh. The only one in existence who could meet God's requirement of sinless perfection and endure God's wrath would become a scapegoat on our behalf.

This is love, that Christ would willingly lay down His life to rescue sinners.
*God, sent His Son, not Christ sent His Son. 😀
