Soldiers compelled to run into bullets always represent a terrible failure. It's a grim awful sight, and—while we may honor the selfless bravery of people doing something terrible and unnecessary that has been made terribly necessary—we should never relish the fact of of it.
Those who fail to make this distinction care nothing for bravery or those who exhibit it—something we know is true of Trump: who got his deferments, who mocked prisoners of war, who fought survivors of fallen troops.

People are disposable to him—brave people perhaps most of all.
Trump is the story of a coddled monster, too pampered to have to learn, rich enough to buy people who will repeat his facts, pay people to make his consequences go away.

His whole business model is making an appearance, and making other people pay the bill.

As we now see.
His pandemic strategy never contemplated preventing its spread. It focused on managing appearance, and still does.

The cost of this has been huge and will be huger.

It's a cost he intends to make other people pay, because they will do what is necessary. He considers this weak.
He opposes tests because tests reveal the truth.
Spreads lies about inflated death rates.
Praises himself for every death, pointing to some higher number of death.
Defers to governors, then undercuts them to blame them for failure.

He's the biggest piece of shit in the world.
He's the general who sends entire platoons to be mowed down in no-man's-land to secure another medal.

He's the congressman who praises 9/11 first respondents while voting for a false war in their name, while voting against medical relief for their ill health.

Make him pay.
For the first time in his life, make Donald Trump pay a goddam bill.

Donald Trump, who thinks it's beautiful to watch bravery, not because he is brave, but because he sees another sucker willing to clean the mess he made.

Make him pay.
Investigate. Impeach. Repeat. Remove. Charge. Try. Sentence.

Vote. Remove. Investigate. Charge. Try. Sentence.

Hold anybody's feet to the fire who won't pursue both strategies vigorously through to the end.

Replace any opposition timid and foolish enough to seek compromise.
The way you know Trump sees bravery as weakness, that he sees the bravery of doctors and nurses and soldiers as weakness in service of his own ego, is this: he only praises them when they serve his need.

When they require something of him, he attacks:
When they make even mild comments that run contrary to the narrative of Trump Greatness, the preservation of which is his sole priority, he attacks:
