This is an odd list. It's possibly self-indulgent. But legitimately, I was beginning to doubt my track record as an Extrovert, because I was taking this Quarantine fairly calmly for myself. Part of that is having been VERY AWARE that I am EXTRAORDINARILY LUCKY. 1/
I have two other grown humans in the house with me, both of whom are fairly well-adjusted humans. They can both drive. They can both take care of themselves. They provide excellent conversation. And they both have been willing to do 100% of the shopping. 2/
I have had the luxury of a full-time job (and approved overtime when needed) to work from home and go nowhere. I have the luxury of a functioning postal service, electricity, water, wifi, and a working bank account. 3/
My family is similarly mostly doing just fine in their quarantines. We have alll the supplies we need and the means to resupply if necessary. 4/
I've been home for 65 days. I no longer spend 2-3+ hours driving 5x+ per week. Instead, I'm getting enough sleep. I walk out to get coffee and breakfast then work full time. When I'm in mtgs that don't require me to take notes or screenshots, I'm getting spinning/plying done. 5/
So far, my 65-day quarantine has included:
* making 7 warps for my own weaving, 12 warps for students
* weaving 8 bands for my own studies
* finishing 2.5+ balls of added-twist ply yarns for the stash
* designing, custom fitting, and hand-sewing 4 masks

6/
* creating and captioning 3 crafty youtube videos
* holding 2 FB live crafty video sessions (and posting to youtube afterwards)
* hosting 4 FB live storytelling video sessions (and posting archive copies to youtube afterwards)

7/
* hosting 4 crafty zoom private sessions so far (with another month of sessions scheduled / planned, to be held about every 4 days)
* hosting the weekly family zoom get-together for 7 weeks
* hosting a 3-friend shenanigans weekly zoom get-together for 3 or 4 weeks

8/
* helping coach/encourage 2 friends in a mentor relationship (over texts, emails, video chats)
* delivering a loaner loom and threads, delivering 3 bags of mismatched china to families for kids to play with (my only driving adventure in 65 days)

9/
* caring for 3 sourdough starters, baking 2 loaves of bread, and one pan of fry bread
* and after sitting on my butt for 51 days, started going on walks in the evening with my Sweetie. After 7 walks, I've gone from barely lasting 5 min to 20 min (slowly) last night, 0.55 mi

I'd been thinking that maybe I wasn't really as extroverted as I thought I was, because I was so calmly enjoying being trapped at home. Until this list... now I realize I just figured out how to pivot my energy.

11/
Folks, besides being EXTRAORDINARILY LUCKY, this is only possible because I don't *also* have to juggle small children, or non-neuro-typical brain chemistry, or chronic illness, or unemployment, or racism, or language barriers, or accessibility issues.... 12/
I'm not facing homelessness, or addition, or domestic violence, or PTSD, or ...

Do you see why I consider myself lucky? Short of being a white cis-male, my default life settings are pretty damn close to the easiest setting.

13/
So if ANYONE in my friend's list is thinking, "why can't I accomplish as much as her?" remember, my default settings are at a lower difficulty setting.

YOU ARE AMAZING BECAUSE LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE FACING. I'm impressed. You have to conquer things I barely understand. #GoYou
Oh, back in 13/ I said, "short of being a white cis-male," I will acknowledge that being a white, cis-female has a ton of privledges. So there's that.
