Defence Sector Reforms:
1. To notify list of weapons & platforms that will not be allowed to be imported. Banned items will only be procured from domestic manufacturers.
2. This list will grow every year.
3. Indigenisation of imported spares will be encouraged.

Defence reforms aimed at cutting import bill on defence items.
Further,
●Ordinance Factory Boards to be CORPORATISED (not privatised).
New entities to be encouraged to list on stock markets.
●FDI LIMITS TO BE RAISED TO 74% FOR DEFENCE PRODUCTION.
●Realistic procurement norms.

Civil Aviation Reforms:

1. Airspace management: Restrictions on use of Indian air space to be eased. Currently, only 60% airspace usable. Rs 1000 Cr savings likely.

(This means J&K, Ladakh, Chandigarh, Delhi (already barring NDMC discom), Dadra NH, Pondicherry among power discoms to be privatised)

●Andaman & Nicobar Islands, ●Chandigarh
●Dadra & Nagar Haveli
●Daman & Diu,
●National Capital Territory of Delhi, ●Jammu * Kashmir

●Puducherry
Centre hopes States will be encouraged to do similarly.

Govt to enhance VGF (viability gap funding) to 30% of each of total project cost for social infra projects. Rs 8100 Cr budgetary allocation.

Incorrectly added NCT Delhi in haste of firing off the news.

What I meant to say is: Would the last remaining discom (NDMC in Central Delhi) also be considered for privatization, given that it supplies to VIP power centre of India - Central Delhi?

Pls ignore mention of Delhi here. I meant to ask whether NDMC Discom will also be privatised like erstwhile DESU?
