So I just had my first #game of #LUDO with PRADHAN MANDARIN ji.
Here are the highlights:

- He got 56 orange colored tokens, I got white.
- I was getting a lot of 6s and 5s but then he suddenly declared them invalid. #Detokenisation he called it I think.

2/ - He disabled the network and movement of my color house and declared it his house
- He also created a rule where every token was fast tracked except green colored tokens.
- Somehow, when I was leading again, he locked down the board, without notice

- During lockdown, few of his tokens reached a wrong color house.
- For some time he didn't do anything and said that his tokens are #atmanirbhar and will manage
- I was leading again but then he bought some of my tokens, now he was leading.

Swami Dayanand in 1873 made Swadeshi as an article of Faith. Post that #AtmaNirbhar Bharat campaign had three phases <Pre-47>, each resulting in some Hits and misses. But in totality, it did shape a few things which we see today in things around us. This 🧵is about all that
The first version of Swadeshi was developed in Western India. Tilak, along with Govind Ranade, Gopal Agarkar <Agarkar Chowk in Andheri> extended the Dadabhai’s Economic Drain theory and would eventually be called for a boycott campaign <first phase of nationalism> in 1896
Around the same time, these events happen:
1. Jamsetji Tata rename newly purchased Dharamsi Mills as the Swadeshi Mills <1886>, ironically 1st mill was Empress <Nagpur>
2. Profullachandra Roy started his Bengal Chemicals in Calcutta <1893>, Satis Mukherji started Dawn Society

Irrespective of party/ideology:
- we the citizens of India have provided food & transport to our economically weaker citizens.
- we the people have contributed to PPE/Sanitation products for frontline workers.
I am proud of each one of you who has contributed & keep contributing
What I’m not understanding is that we also pay taxes, directly & indirectly; even the poorest of poor contributes to national exchequer.
Yet, we’re not getting the social security that we expect from an elected government. Even state governments are not getting their share of GST
Where & how is the money being spent?
We will do charity for our fellow citizens, but isn’t this the responsibility of the government in the 1st place?
Why is my railways minister acting like he’s doing us a favour?
Why is my finance minister arrogant?
Who is my labour minister?

This young man, 34, a neighbour of sorts in Salt Lake, died in a Pune hospital for lack of B+ blood. Think about it: B+ is one of the most common blood groups in India
He was privileged, Anglophone, savvy. Imagine how our health system has collapsed…
In the first week of April, I had written about blood donations plunging and banks running dry. Maharashtra was one of the state's doing well then. In these weeks, things have gone from bad to worse clearly…
What a horrible way to underline that your reporting is on the mark: big city + common blood group + privileged young person, yet death. I've seen plenty of city newspapers writing about blood shortages in their cities. But nearly no one has followed this on a national level >>
