I understand the UK US trade talks are now to take place in secret. Please can one of you question the PM about State Aid clauses privatising the NHS and ISDS creating a standstill/ratchet to prevent future Labour God's ever re-nationalising it?

These clowns really need to get better at their rebuttals...

Claim: The Army had to be called in to sort out your shit-show.
Rebuttal: "The army was utilised"... word salad...word salad..

Guys? GUYS! That's actually a confirmation not a rebuttal.
Claim: You stored PPE in a smoke-damaged, asbestos-laden warehouse.

Rebuttal: Yes we did. But (as luck would have it) tests showed no contamination (honest, cross our hearts).

So you were as reckless as fck, but got lucky. May as well drive the wrong way down the M1 then...
Claim: Some pallets were blocking aisles, potentially hampering access and delivery.

Rebuttal: It was only a few...

It only *takes* "a few" to block an aisle, FFS. It only took one sperm to create whomever drafted this rebuttal - but that was one too many.

Laura Kuenssberg really quite skillfully deploys the deceptive arts here, in a truly desperate attempt to defend the indefensible.

She presents the No.10 defense and a long document as evidence, but studiously omits the actual accusation which the No.10 response is aimed at.
Here
is the detail of accusation BTW.

With this in one's hands, it is easy to see from Laura's link that the accusations are 100% proved in evidence. Black and white. Bang to rights.

But the clever way Laura presented it - just the No. 10 side, and...
... just a link to a long document that most people will not bother to read, and WITHOUT the detail of the accusation, an unwary reader might think "Oh! there is nothing to it" or "Oh! Starmer was selectively quoting (whatever the quote was)"

Bravo!!

You'd think the Low-Carbon potential of HS2 was obvious
1. Free up existing lines for much more frequent local services to attract people out of their gas-guzzlers.
2. Offer a better inter-city option than car, meaning cars just used for short trips, meaning EV's viable.
3. Justify more track electrification business case by boosting passenger numbers.
4. Switch freight from HGV to rail.
5. Switch short-hop air to rail.
6. Integrate better with local bus services (6 x 1-carriage trains per hr instead of 1x 6-carriage train)

But too often...
...too often all I get from the anti-HS2 lobby is:
"We should stop travelling so much"
"There are too many people on the planet [Unspoken: forced sterilisation of brown people]"
"We are too obsessed with speed"

I also have a sneaky, nasty, little suspicion that they are getting
