Aiports is a lie. oto 10s of thousands of extra dead.

Science advice was to do this in January.

I have sent these maybe 100 times, to prevent death, then to stop more death.

I haven't got through.

This is a small account. But consequences are huge.

4. Jan 27th. You MUST screen ALL affected areas. You MUST CONTACT TRACE.
Ramp up data collection, local coordination for tracing, staff. Screening includes passenger advice to encourage self-reporting.

Most of the rest of the world is now affected.

5. Feb 11th
WHO confirms "containment" includes Airports and Flights

18 procedures for airlines
18 for airport checking and quarantine
8 PPE and other guidelines for checking staff.

Paraphrase. We know certain counties think it's pointless checking at airports. If this were flu you might be right
For covid19 you're wrong. Instead of doing less, you need to do more. Urgently and now.

7. These communications are contrary to Johnson, Patel and Shapps statements on this topic.

Patel has argued separately UK airports are too big and too small for checks.

Note many Hancock PPE statements are contradicted unless PPE advice for airports is higher grade than NHS

8. On 22nd Jan UK announced China plane checks. Anecdotally they fell far short of WHO list. I'd like data from UKGov on actual start date and results, so far they've released nothing.

C4 reported Border Force PPE mandated for airport checks was still lacking in Feb.

9. Unless unreported, Ministers in charge,Patel and Shapps, made no visits to UK airports during Feb - mid March to review progress, compliance or check on Border Force health and safety.

Channel 4 did in mid feb. It reported severe concerns that a check would have picked up

10. March 7th, as the industry was beginning to face the horror of coronavirus, Shapps announced a decision to leave EASA, a move widely regarded as political, without merit and damaging to UK Air Safety.

EASA unreported advice has been in line with WHO.

11. 26th Feb Hancock announced in HoC enhanced measures at airports

Covid19 was confirmed to have affected
France 24th Jan
Germany 27th Jan
Italy Jan 31st
Spain 31st.
UK 31st
Following week ~ everywhere.
The enhanced measures were never extended.

12. From Mid Feb to early March UKGov ran what Scients named "STOP to SLOW lie. This misinformation campaign attempts to argue important measures to SLOW growth, we're pointless was they wouldn't STOP growth

The campaign was reported on C4 and the Today Programme, amongst others

13. Through mid Feb multiple warnings were given that UK was not following science advice.

These are public record but for a quick impression see the direct plea from the Italian PM not to repeat their mistake.

You may remember planes from Italy landing? That was mid March.

14. On March 3rd Johnson announced a Containment phase, when it started is unclear.

The WHO mandated that containment should include Airports, UK excluded them.

I've tried to find ANY viral entry point we contained.

13. Thinking that 44 detailed requirements from the WHO was maybe too much for UK Press to process I creates this chart summarising our performance.

The scale of our departure from scientific advice seems never to have been reported or challenged. Except by the EU and EASA.

14. FT, GdN, Indi, Times have brief reports

Cover in other media is patchy to poorly/mis reported.

IMDB notes 50 pandemic movies. Of those set in modern times 100% feature airport closures.

15. Has anyone died?

I'm not a modeller.

Using ratios from counties with gold airport controls would assume all UK variance is due to airports.

So this is indicative at best.

Controls = 50-95% fewer deaths.

UK assumed (for ratio) 70000

Does any of this matter?

Sadly yes.

Airports are the spread point at least at the start. Fail to control, suddenly you have outbreak everywhere. You Metastasize the virus.

Effects are exponential - just one untraced man in HK was 4000 cases.

Post Script.

The daily Mail has now reported the lack of checks. It fails to mention WHO advice.

Where it does reference the UK, oddly, Passengers are to blame and maybe BA for going abroad.

It mentions the lack of UK controls but doesn't investigate why.

Express endorses the STOP SLOW lie. It seeks no impartial or independent sources and then justifies lack of checks due to SARS procedures in 2003.

It must have missed the successfully contained MERS outbreak where passenger tracking saved many lives

Personal note. I've tried to be as neutral as any human can reporting lies that killed 10,000s that were "missed" by media.

The WHO is not advice - an option to consider. It's a mandate. We *could* legislate it away. We didn't.
