If global fossil CO₂ emissions go down 5% in 2020, that will be the biggest relative drop since World War II & the Great Depression.

Though, in recent history there have been times when emissions have grown around 5%...

Global fossil CO₂ emissions have grown considerably the last 100 years, so a 5% relative drop in 2020 will comfortably be the biggest absolute drop ever recorded (~1.8GtCO₂).

Though, on the upside, there have been several years where emissions have grown more than 1GtCO₂!
