1/ One of the telling things about protests is how people convince themselves that they are somehow illegitimate. It's like the word "astroturf" to describe any protest from the other side you don't like.
2/ I saw that with Occupy Wall Street: organizers tapped into the mass discontentment and organized things. Thus, the other side refused to accept there was a movement and instead called it "astroturfing".
3/ As a libertarian I'm pro-social-distancing, anti-government-lockdown. In other words, the data shows that people are largely social distancing anyway without the government forcing it, and thus, lockdown orders are unnecessary.
4/ So I'm sympathetic to the protestors concerns, though still opposed to their means. If you are going to a protest, wear masks people!!!
