If this is how you define political issues, then you are unfriending people over politics. The right-hand side doesn't list beliefs but strawman caricatures.
Instead of unfriending people, I take the opposite approach and seek be unfriended. You believe in the Biblical definition of marriage? Okay, let's look at the Bible and how that definition is men marrying multiple underaged girls.
Let's look at all the multi-divorcees who admire who are champions of the Biblical definition of marriage. **Trump** cough.
I'm libertarian, which means I'm rabidly pro-gay-rights but at the same time on the side of bakers who don't want to make cakes for gay weddings. I mean, I'll won't patronize your business, but at the same time, I don't feel the government should force you to bake cakes.
Both sides strawman libertarians as *essentially* being the same as that caricature they have of the opposing side and unfriend the libertarians.
Political polarization happens on social media because instead of empathizing with the reasonable person you disagree with, trying to see things from their perspective, you demonize them, creating a strawman argument that is easy to hate, justifying your unfriending them.
