Don't tell my kids, but I HATE telling them to "be quiet." I'm loud and they're loud and we live in a loud house and I WANT them to feel comfortable and loud and act like CHILDREN in their own damn home.

But with this lockdown, I'm *constantly* having to tell them to be quiet.
I really worry about it. I worry I'm *suppressing* their personal expression and childlike exuberance because I have to work and my wife has to work and they have to button up while we sit on these work calls.
I know, very crunchy lib parent of me. But still. Outside of this house the whole society will make them "be quiet" and conform and "walk don't run."

I've generally *wanted* "home" to be the one place they could be wild little urchins, and I HATE taking that away from them.
I think 1 reason I'm feeling this problem so acutely now is that my wife and I have gotten very good at scheduling our calls around each other. So we're not *both* on a call at the same time.

But that means *one of us* is always on, which means they have to always be quiet.
