Every time one of these shootings happens, I get a note or a text from a white person I haven’t heard from in a while. It’s always: “I used to think that you were really EXTREME but now I see that you were right about [white people] all along.”

To which I always want to say: “YEAH, I FUCKING KNOW! Thank you for figuring out your ‘black friend’ hasn’t had some kind of crazy MELANIN POISONING all these years.”
This week happens because white people DO NOT LISTEN when blacks people calmly, professionally, and charitably explain how DESPERATE black people are for relief from white violence. How we’d do almost anything to be FREE of it.
So maybe going forward: BELIEVE BLACK PEOPLE when they tell you how much you fucking suck.
