Got hold of some data on #TheLastDance and it's absolutely mindblowing how the series was consumed. As a start, the series was @espn's most watched documentary series EVER.! The @Jumpman23 of ESPN series.
The series, which debuted in April, averaged 5.6 million viewers throughout its run. The series was also a hit on social media. It was the trending topic on Twitter for five straight Sundays, according to ESPN.
According to an ESPN release, Episode One of #TheLastDance averaged 6.3m viewers, while Episode Two averaged 5.8m viewers across ESPN and ESPN2. ESPN aired an uncensored version, while ESPN2 removed the rough language for a younger audience.
#TheLastDance smashed the record for the largest audience for a premiere in the “30 for 30” series, surpassing the 2012 film You Don’t Know Bo (3.6m). It also out-performed O.J.: Made in America, which premiered on sister channel ABC in June 2016 to approximately 3.4m viewers.
$0.. That's the amount Michael Jordan will earn from #TheLastDance. He’s donating his entire share of the proceeds, which should reach at least $3 million to $4 million, to charitable causes
I thought it would be cool to know how much Jordan earned during the 1997-98 season. That is the season #TheLastDance was based kn. Jordan repoetedly earned $33.14 million, which remains without precedent after adjusting for inflation.
Despite the successful collaboration that took smash hit NBA documentary #TheLastDance to @netflix is unlikely to be repeated, according to Libby Geist, vice president and executive producer for @espn films and original content.
The deal saw Netflix taking the global on-demand rights for #TheLastDance. That arrangement, however, was concluded before Disney launched subscription OTT services Disney+ and ESPN+, and it could not direct audiences to those platforms after the programme aired. What a fail!
ESPN and Netflix made “a very quick decision” to push the release date of #TheLastDance up from the scheduled start of the NBA finals later this summer as sporting events were shut down in mid-March.

Juventus handed a 15 point deduction and directors banned
Club found to have falsely inflated the value of players and misrepresented losses. Last year's financials showed losses of €254 million, the highest ever in Italian football.
The most cited example in the reported 42 suspicious Juve transfers being looked at by the FIGC is last year's deal between the 36-time Italian champions and Barcelona which saw Miralem Pjanic move to Catalonia and Arthur Melo go the other way.
Arthur was valued at €72 million and Pjanic €60 million, but even though nowhere near that amount of cash was paid both clubs could immediately book the values of the sales on their balance sheets.

Illegal sports streaming is made up of many complex layers and broadcasters are trying their hardest to fight back.
But is this a battle they can win?
THREAD ⬇️
A study conducted by the Digital Citizens Alliance estimated that illegal streaming costs the sports industry $3.3-billion a year. This figure includes not only lost revenue from advertisers and subscriptions, but also the cost of producing and airing the sports events themselves
Another study, conducted by the Sports Video Group, found that illegal streaming cost the sports industry $1.5-billion in lost revenue in 2018. This study did not take into account the cost of producing the events or other potential losses.
