Club found to have falsely inflated the value of players and misrepresented losses. Last year's financials showed losses of €254 million, the highest ever in Italian football.

Quick thought on this from a former betting industry insider 🍏

As far back as 2010, a resolution was passed that PSL clubs would not take on sports betting companies as sponsors until the PSL had investigated the issue. The investigation was never done. This was done because there were no rules and there are still none prohibiting sports betting companies as sponsors.

What is required is that clubs seek permission first on any sponsorship.
