OK UK, I have just watched the video linked here and I’m sorry to tell you that your home test kits are basically useless.
It’s very unlikely you’ll get a positive result, and if you get a negative result, it certainly doesn’t mean for sure you are not infected.

See, there a reason “self-swabbing” is not a thing in my country (France) where tests can only be performed by professionals.
The same reason they actually have to be at least a bit painful.

Also the reason more than one test is often needed:
Virus tends to hide deep.
So “surface tests” are quite likely to miss it.
A waste of time and money, potentially dangerous as it’s not clearly stated “negative” doesn’t mean “non-infected”.

So honestly it would be better if whoever is in charge of these home test kits results never reports back.
Because as long as people don’t know they’ll take precautions/not disregard symptoms, even mild.
Whereas a false negative may be lethal for them/their contacts.
